About Us

Our Caring Staff

The most important element in determining the quality of a veterinary hospital, and luxury pet boarding facility is the experience and level of personal care provided by it's staff and veterinarians.  Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital and A Home Away From Home - Luxury Pet Boarding employs the most experienced and caring employees in Pensacola, Florida.  Each of our employees has ample experience in animal care giving and participate in continuing education every Wednesday from noon to 1:00 pm. 


Community Service:

Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital and A Home Away From Home - Luxury Pet Boarding are very active in our community.  We work with rescue groups providing services and treatments for abandoned pets through Schnauzer Love Rescue, Hotel for Dogs and Cats, and the Humane Society of Pensacola.  In 2009 we conducted a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Pensacola and raised over $6250.  We sponsor 5 free mammograms through Baptist Health Care Foundation each year for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  We provide funds, time, and services to many community groups including:  Ronald McDonald House - Kapps for Kids, Leaning Post Ranch, Hospice - Covenant House, Southeastern Diabetes Education Services, American Cancer Society - Relay for Life, YMCA - Jingle Bell 5K, United Cerebral Palsy, Ensley Blue Midget Football Team, N B Cook ELementary School, Brown Barge Middle School, Workmens Middle School, Scenic Heights Elementary School, B T Washington High School, Alethea Christian School, Episcopal Day School, Cokesbury Methodist Pre-K, Creative Learning Academy, and Trinitas Christian School just to name a few.

 

Kennel Manager

Tony has been with Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital since 1999.  He is a veteran of the US Navy and spent 4 years on the Dwight D Eisenhower aircraft carrier.  Tony graduated from the University of West Florida with a  BA in Psychology.

Tony is pictured with Luminara.  Tony and his wife adopted Luminara from a elderly couple that could no long care for her.  She is a beloved member of their family.

Kennel Technicians

 
Tacha has been with Spanish Trail since 2007, and has been loving and caring for boarding pets ever since. She genuinely loves her job as it shows in the work she does and always insures the greatest quality of care for all the pets.

Danny joined our team in 2013.  He previously worked as a kennel technician in Tennessee for two years. With a smile on his face at all times he cares and nurtures each pet that boards with us as if they were his own.

Jeniffer started with Spanish Trail in 2015 working in the boarding facility. She previously worked at a veterinary hospital in Dothan, AL. She always stays focused on giving the up-most care to all of the animals that board with us.

Clinic Manager

Pamila is pictured with Sir Marshmellow her children's guinea pig. She has been with the clinic since 2006. She was made the clinic manager in 2012 and has worked hard to maintain a level of excellence for the clinic in every aspect.

Receptionists

 Julie has been with Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital since 2008.  She had previously worked as a veterinary receptionist in Dothan, Alabama.

Carissa comes to Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital in 2011 with 8 years of experience as a veterinary receptionist. She is very knowledgeable about the veterinary field and works hard to insure the greatest quality of care for our clients and patients.

Katie joined our receptionist team in 2013.   She had previously worked at another veterinary hospital in Pensacola as a veterinary receptionist. Katie has been a great asset to the clinic always striving to insure clients and patients have the best experience possible.
 

 Lorrie became a receptionist with Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital in 2013.  She previously worked as a veterinary receptionist for 7 years in Miami, Florida. Her amazing day to day attitude around the office is one that everyone remembers, as she continuously cares for clients and patients

Lead Technician


             Josh has been with Spanish Trail since 2008, he was most recently put into the lead technician role, and very much likes to share his experience and expertise with both fellow technicians and clients. He strives to provide the best experience possible for clients and patients

Veterinary Technicians

Stacey joined our Spanish Trail team in 2012, she moved here from Atlanta. Stacey is a very knowledgeable technician and her love for both patients and clients is unsurpassed.

She is pictured here with her dog George, who she found in a ditch in Georgia when he was just a puppy. He is actually a doggy blood donor.
Brittney joined Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital after moving to Pensacola from New Jersey.  She holds her certification as a veterinary technician and the experience and expertise she brings to Spanish Trail is absolutely amazing.
Andrea has been with Spanish Trail since 2014, she graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Pensacola State College in 2014. She has been a huge asset to the team and the compassion she has for animals is astounding.

Diana joined the Spanish Trail team in 2015, relocating here from Arizona. She brings years of experience from Arizona and is a very experienced technician.

 

Veterinarians


            Dr. Liz Tringas graduated from University of Florida of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, but previously worked closely under Doctors Kim and Eric Lovell for close to 10 years while going to school. Dr. Liz is a Pensacola native growing up most of her life in the area before relocating to Gainesville, FL for her undergraduate and then finishing there with her veterinary degree.

She is very excited to bring her great knowledge, expertise and love of animals back to her hometown and practice what she truly loves to do.

Dr. Brita Reynolds graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.  Dr. Brita is originally from Minnesota.  She moved to Florida in 1984 and graduated from UWF before going to veterinary school.  Dr. Brita has been working in Pensacola since 2002.


Dr. Brita worked part-time for Spanish Trail Veterinary Hospital since 2009 and became a full-time associate in 2011.
